\"3DLast Thursday 18th of January, CNC B\u00e1rcenas presented together with Navantia<\/a> <\/strong>the new techniques of additive printing, thanks to its new industrial 3D printer Super Discovery 3D Printer<\/strong><\/a> in the shipyard of Puerto Real in C\u00e1diz, turning this site into a shipyard 4.0.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the new Super Discovery 3D Printer<\/strong><\/a>, Navantia has created what they call Shipyard 4.0, which is the application of enabling technologies of the fourth industrial revolution.<\/p>\n

This shipyard 4.0 seeks, thanks to our new industrial 3D printer, the reduction of costs, deadlines and increase of quality in products and processes. In this way Navantia in C\u00e1diz, leads and drives a key technology such as additive manufacturing and 3D printing.<\/p>\n

The firm commitment of the shipping company for this technology according to Pablo L\u00f3pez (Shipyard Director) “It happens to be a sustainable company of the naval industry, strategic and international, developing competitive naval programs”<\/p>\n

The development in R + D of CNC Barcenas, has greatly facilitated the development of the 3DCabin program started 2 years ago by Navantia. This program seeks the creation of various pieces for ships.<\/p>\n

Thanks to this technology Navantia wants to consolidate a path of industrial research and innovation related to additive printing, allowing them to<\/p>\n

better compete in the international market.<\/p>\n
